Hamilton Barber was created in response to a clear gap in the charity and not-for-profit recruitment market. Having worked within the Third Sector ourselves, we repeatedly experienced the same frustrations: not receiving the right candidates, recruiters who didn’t understand the sector, and an absence of any true values-led recruitment approach. Traditional recruitment models prioritised CV matching over purpose, alignment and behaviours — leaving vital roles unfilled or poorly appointed.

We knew the sector deserved better.
